[cellartracker Tasting Notes (all notes)] 2005 V. Sattui Winery Zinfandel Old Vine Pilgrim Vineyard Lodi: Tasted by jamieirving on 3/27/2008 & rated 93 points: Deep purple in colour, this was my favourite Zin of the day!
[Behind the Cellar Door] Lodi Amateur Vintners Assoc. Annual Blind Tasting: Conclusion: In most cases, the group was able to determine the price category of the wine by tasting. They correctly identified categories of two thirds of the wines. This may say more about the budget wines than the premiums, however, because 66% of the lower category were identified where only 33% of the premium wines were. One might conclude that it is easier to spot a cheap wine.

[Universe One] Central California Wine Tour, October 2008; PART ONE: I am guessing these are the fruits of the very positive reviews of many Linne Calodo 2004-2006 wines by e.g., Wine Spectator and others. If I am correct, it seems the views of the pundits matter…
[cellartracker Tasting Notes (all notes)] 2006 Draconis Vineyards Zinfandel French Oak: rated 92 points: This is a wine that keeps calling you back. Lush and sexy, smooth & spicy, full of fruiet and somewhat chocolatey without being overly oaked.
[Gabe's View] Michael David - 2006 Seven Deadly Zins: While it’s hugely expressive immediately, some air allows it to show it’s layers. Lingering fruit and spice carry through a persistent finish. From start to finish this wine is big, mouth-filling, rich and incredibly smooth and silky.
[Wine Blog] Shopping Like its $19.99 with Katie: According to the label, “Seven of Lodi’s Best Growers gave their souls to produce this one of a kind sinful blend of seven old vine deadly zins.” This wine is quite a “meeting of the vines,”

Studying the history of wine consumption in the U.S. illuminates the political, cultural, religious, and racial diversity that has made the nation what it is today.
[pinotblogger: the Capozzi Winery blog] Fast Cars and Pinot: James Wilson of Reno, wearing a beat-up ball cap and scruffy beard, tasted the 2003 Ravenswood Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel ($15) and said somewhat professorially, “NASCAR fans are becoming so much more diversified. People think we’re a bunch of rednecks.”
