Gourmets of Wine > 2005 Cline Cellars Zinfandel California
[CellarTracker Tasting Notes (all notes)] Tasted by thirtyoneknots on 5/23/2008: Opened this, my last bottle from several bought on sale, to braise short ribs in, thinking "good riddance." Upon pouring the remainder in the glass though I found it to be perhaps the best of the bottles I've had, reminding me to an extent why I thought this was worth stocking up on. Not complex or life-changing by any means, but a good quaffable zin at a wonderful price point that hit the spot on a stressful afternoon.

[CellarTracker Tasting Notes (all notes)] 2005 Susana Balbo Malbec: For this next time, maybe steak au poivre or a roast. Looking forward to the other bottles I have though while I'm sure the wine would last through the time in the drinking window here, I'm not sure it would evolve enough to make the cellaring worthwhile.
