Crema Pasticcera - Italian Pastry Chefs Cream
[Italian's Insight to Travel Italy] Some areas even prepare cornetti with salami and sliced cheese. In the afternoon or on special occasions as a dessert a tray of pasticcini, or little pastries, is often available with a sweet white wine.

Cameron Hughes Wines, San Francisco: Current Releases
[Vinography: A Wine Blog] He's got a long background in wine sales, and has lots of connections to wineries as a result. Over the years he heard many times from winemakers who had multiple barrels of finished wine that they couldn't sell for some reason -- either there was no demand in the marketplace for it, or for some reason the winery ended up with more wine than they wanted.

Sutter Home Syrah 2000
[Wines] Price: $7 Maker: Sutter Home Winery Varietal: Shiraz Packaging: 750 ml bottle, artificial cork Alcohol: 13% Our Rating: 7.5 out of 10 Sutter Home is one of those mass-market products that on can never quit predict. We tried Sutter Home Syrah 2000 and found it a bit harsh.

Lindemans Cawarra Shiraz Cabernet 2004
[Wines] Lindemans Cawarra Shiraz Cabernet 2004 epitomizes the high quality but very affordable wines that Australia has to offer. Its nose is pleasantly spicy with strong berry notes and a hint of licorice.

Red Wine Grapes - Part 1
[Making Homemade Wine and Beer] Part 1 of the Series Aah, Spring is just around the corner (in my neck of the woods) and the grapevines will soon be sprouting. Being that I have a considerable amount of time on my hands (not allowed to go back to work unit next week), I can take the time to put together a mini-series about the different types of grapes that are used in making wine.

Lakes Folly
[Winetastic] Before planning our most recent day trip to the hunter, I trolled the various aussie wine forums and asked around for suggestions on wineries to visit. Lakes Folly was one name which came up on a regular basis, however we turned up to the cellar door having absolutely no idea what to expect.

Coppola Rosso Classico 2004
[Wines] It proudly calls itself simply “Rosso”, and in smaller print identifies the wine with the company name, Francis Coppola Presents. It’s impossible not to be intrigued by a wine claiming to be a classic red with a respected name like Coppola on the label.

Romitorio Di Santedame 2000 - Tenimenti Ruffino
[Italian's Insight to Travel Italy] The dinner and the wine finished all too quickly but they were a great combination and this wine has made it into our cellar. It is not an everyday wine, the retail cost will be about $50-55 but it is well worth a good home-cooked meal on a special occasion or with friends.

(2)Mile High Club
[Basic Juice - the wine blog for my generation] Question of the day: Where is the most remote location in which you have sipped a glass of grapey goodness? Bonus question: Do you recall the wine, which you enjoyed in your own personal Timbuktu?

RN Estate Vineyard
[Luxist] Though the first vintage was released only last year, the red wines RN produces have already garnered several tasting awards and are carried in restaurants like Ortolan (Los Angeles) and La Suite (San Francisco). Tastings and tours are available at the facility, but the wines sell out quickly because only 800-1000 cases are produced each year.

The Wine They Drank: Roederer Estate Brut Rose NV
[Boston Dreams and Michelin Stars] They use 60% of that pinot and 40% chardonnay for this wine, all grown in the Valley. The result is a pleasing dry bubbly, with some fruit, nice acidity, and a foamy mousse like a good cafe au lait.
