Cray and rosé

http://www.handtomouth.co.za [ handtomouth] Unfortunately, the incidence of corked bubblies is greater than with still wines, the CO2 seems to activate or interact with the TCA and that nasty wet cardboard smell pretty much ruined the Krone Rosé, so it was back to some Newton Johnson Sauvignon Blanc 2006 (still quiet and restrained, but creamy).

Rolling Chardonnay 2006

[Winorama] Qantas have been serving up the 2005 vintage in economy class and I have been drinking a fair bit of it in order to cope. I would like to taste the 2005 vintage with my feet on the ground, and maybe I will, but for now I have the new 2006 vintage to taste.

Bolly Dolly

[Golly's Wine Drops] It tastes big, in as much as a wine can taste big, there’s marmitey Bovril with lemons and sweet almonds with just a touch of toffee and cooking apples. There’s certainly a lot going on, and the 12% alcohol takes an express lift to the head.

2004 Clos Du Bois Reserve Chardonnay

[Luxist] Although we are square in the thick of red wine drinking season right now, I actually ended up with a white last night (what can I say it was in 80-degree territory in Southern California). I ended up trying out the 2004 Clos du Bois Reserve Chardonnay. The wine is priced around $15 making it a nicely priced weekday wine.
