Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Review

[CheapWineRatings.com] in geological terms. Rather than a valley, it’s more of a depression. The region covers the western side of the coastal hills between Santiago and Valparaiso. The main part of the region lies about 12 miles inland from the Pacific coast and the low-lying area surrounded by hills creates a basin where cool ocean air creates a maritime influence that results in a moderate climate. But throughout the region, microclimates create a lot of variety and opportunities for viticulturists.

Donny Goodmac Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 : The Wine Front

Brookland Valley Merlot 2004 : The Wine Front

[The Wine Front] I reckon BV Merlot is consistently amongst the best in Australia, especially if you want to cellar one for a while. I had the 95, 96 and 97 in my cellar and thay only started to fade a bit after 8-9 years.

[Wino sapien] The 99 Voyager CM though is a classic, I had it at the (lovely) cellar door in March up against the 01, 03 and 04 - the 99 clearly won, though the 03 will be a worthy followup in time.
