[Wine Inquirer] Pinot Noir in Tucson | Wine Inquirer: To simplify the inventory and search process, I have decided to stratify the price levels and offer a condensed list of quality wines both under and above the $45 range. While the list may seem rather lengthy to be considered condensed, it was culled from a much larger inventory of Tucson accessible Pinot Noir. Unless otherwise stated, the prices represent an average of those retailers listed if the differences are small (less than a few dollars). When

[Snooth Blog] Snooth | Wine for Thanksgiving - Snooth Blind Tasting of West ...: I made this a West Coast pinot tasting since there really is a difference between say, Oregon Pinot and Russian River Pinot. Not only does the climate produce different wines, not to mention the soils, but there are also different wine making schools of thought out on the west coast. Light elegant Burundian Pinots deliver a very different experience than say, full on fruit bombs from the Santa Rita hills.

[Druber's Blog] Lakeside wrap up and being a proud papa: I’ve tasted. Great citrus (mostly grapefruit) on the nose and an excellent grassy notes, soft mouth feel and long finish. However, at $20 a bottle, we didn’t buy because for that price point, there are South African, New Zealand and French Chablis, or Sauv Blancs that I’d rate higher for $15 abottle. The same vintner has a really nice Pinot Noir as well, which has a pale color almost like a rosatto, that belies it’s rich but far from overpowering taste, distinctively as close to a classic Burgundy you’ll get this side of, well, Burgundy.
