blogger's wine freebie
[gapingvoid] Once Stormhoek launches in the States (not sure when exactly, but I think within a few months) I hope to repeat the same offer on your side of the pond. So watch this space etc.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Cedichou.blogspot.com] Le Blog de San Francisco.: I said I would get back to the Best of issue, but haven't gotten around to it. A few things popped to mind: that last year's winner of 'best thin crust pizza' did not make it into this year top 5 pizza; last year winner for best fried chicken did not make it into this year's top 5 (either: reviewers are fickle like that, or they forgot the bullshit they were serving us last year). Anyhow, it does look like last year's debacle had the Weekly enlarge the food team for the occasion (like hell Meredith went to Popeye's) so it is harder for me to find grief: the more diverse the contributions, the more diluted the mind boggling comments of hers.
[Maybe.com] Fish Sticks and Green Jello: May 2003: I don't think I've ever seen her look as lovely as that day. The food at the reception was delicious, and the outdoor woodsy setting with the pond was very nice as well. I'm pretty much gushing about it at this point but I was really impressed by it and one day if I ever get married I'm sure I'll want to steal some ideas from their wedding. Basically it was nice to see someone have a great wedding without doing the overblown $30K plus wedding.
[Chaosgeneration.com] Chaos Generation Weblog: Got a dose of greenery there. Took a couple of photos of the pond, the fountain, sculptures, flowery roof, and some cool cherry blossom trees. Went to the Tokyo International Forum building. Took quite a few photos of the glass roof.
[Reload.ws] Blog Reload: 11.2004: I am the legal landowner but not the Contractor at 2088 Dagget, Pierson, Michigan. A couple of beavers are in the (State unauthorized) process of constructing and maintaining two wood "debris" dams across the outlet stream of my Spring Pond. While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skillful use of natures building materials "debris." I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose. I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic.
