[Cheap Wine Reviews] A classic scene, and one that I’m getting quite used to: I’m in the liquor aisle with less than 10 dollars in my pocket looking for a wine. Complicating things, I was expecting 3 other people for our Sunday dinner.
Some related posts from Technorati and Google.
[I'm not a girl, not yet a wino] Sunday confessional: benders and beaches: fantasy while on holiday and apologize for being out of touch. Once again hopelessly devoted, Chardonnay and I spent our first reunited night mesmerized by one another and Lost;
[A Free Man In Preston] Like Dylan In The Movies: Then he asked if Id noticed the girl working in the fruit and veg aisle, how well stacked she was - “Id certainly like to test her fucking melons for juiciness and flavour, etc.” - and I breathed a huge sigh of relief, the natural order of things was restored, and once again all was well in the world.
[Twelve Two Two Fondue] Home Alone: In typical Kroger's Sunday afternoon fashion there was only one checkout line open, choked with several families shopping for treks across the Mongolian Desert. Just as I was thinking about the best laid plans of mice, Homers and men, a light caught my eye and checkout line Number Eight opened for business.
[Dragonfly Musings] This time last year Lemming: Of course this is Sunday morning now and we had planned... it hosts the Spirit Room which is a bar at the Jerome Hotel.
[Finlandjournal.com] Finland Journal | Columns: Second, allow grocery stores, mini-markets, kiosks, and other specialized liquor stores to sell stuff stronger than 4.7% - Third, allow alcohol to be sold whenever, not just during the day excluding Sundays. Finally, allow these stores to import whatever kind of booze they want.
[Kosherblog.net] The Kosher Blog - Kosher Wine: Another note in the "flash pasteurization" file, from the F&W wine reviews: "In fact, flash pasteurization, now used by some kosher winemakers, may also enhance a wine's body and aromas. Châ´¥au de Beaucastel, the great estate in Châ´¥auneuf-du-Pape, France, actually uses a process that is related to flash pasteurization, not in order to make its wines kosher but simply to make them more delicious." I still trend towards non-mevushal wines, as the better wineries still choose, it seems, to leave their wines unboiled, but I have certainly had wonderful wines that are mevushal.
[Oregonlive.com] OregonLive.com: Pearl Blog: (What, no champagne? This Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, the first ever Portland Indie Wine Festival will take place .
