Gourmets of Wine > East Coast Wineries: Tomasello Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Outer ...
[East Coast Wineries] The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested from their vineyard and was fermented to dryness with a yeast originally isolated from a Languedoc terroir. The final assemblage was approximately 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a blending in small parts of Petit Verdot, Chambourcin and Cabernet Franc - all grapes grown in their own vineyards in the Outer Coastal Plan viticultural area.

What distinguishes this wine, made from the 1999 block at Red Willow, is the unique character that reforms and uplifts the senses.
[STEVE HEIMOFF| WINE BLOG] STEVE HEIMOFF| WINE BLOG » Blog Archive » Napa Cabernet: as good ...: Background: When I first started interviewing winemakers whose wines I had given very high scores to, one of my favorite questions was, “How much better can your [fill in the blank wine] get?” I mean, if a Cabernet earns a 95 or higher, it is, more or less by definition, a perfect wine, and theres nothing more perfect than perfection, is there?
[Birmingham Post - Home - Life & Leisure] Birmingham Post - Life & Leisure - Restaurants Birmingham ...: Our waiter was a friendly little chap, chatty but not overly so, although he could have handled the broken cork on our bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon a little better. Personally I would have taken it away and decanted it, but it was a minor blip on otherwise faultless service.
[The Gastown Blog] Orofino Winery | The Gastown Blog: On the palate, the wine fascinates and is of two personalities, a very masculine structure with quite the feminine fruit profile. On the outer tiers, there’s this fantastic dark, dusty cocoa thing going on with some rumbling earthiness and well-situated tannins. But the fruit, oh the fruit! Bursting with pretty cherries, blackberries, blueberries and currants, the thing just dances on the palate! The finish has some great length to it, that berry fruit just keeps going, enveloping some nice sage and oregano notes that really ties the whole thing together.
[Everyday Drinkers] Vendange California Cabernet Sauvignon Tetra Pak | Everyday Drinkers: First, let’s just dispel the ideas that a boxed wine has to be utter garbage, I’ve had plenty of really horrid glass bottled wines and Vendange isn’t one of them. Yes, you heard me, this is a fine wine for under $4.00 for three glasses.
[WineLife365] Wine Review - 2006 Killer Juice Cabernet Sauvignon BOXED WINE ...: My Verdict: The 2006 Killer Juice Cabernet Sauvignon was more like “So-So Juice” to me. It really lacked the depth of other bottled value-Cabs that Ive tried so far this year. Im not sure on what basis this wine was awarded a Gold Medal. Its really not that good (believe me). The real test is when you take a drink of an inexpensive Cab from a bottle, then take a sip of this juice. The difference is huge. The Killer Juice doesnt even come close on taste. I did this little taste comparison for more than 30 days, with the same results just about every time.
[Wine for the Cheap] Wine for the Cheap: Oak Leaf Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon: I later found out that Oak Leaf is Walmart's response to the popularity that the Charles Shaw brand brought to the Trader Joe's chain. Eager to get a piece of the cheap wine market, Walmart now offers basic house wines under the Oak Leaf label.

[Whale Cottage Portfolio Blog] Restaurant Review: Pizza Club fastest pizzas in Cape Town | Whale ...: The menu and winelist is printed on brown paper, to give a pizza look, and is laminated. It is immediately evident that the PizzaClub is a no-nonsense pizza place with “two non-celebrity pizza designers”, as tweeted by Massimo recently. The 23 pizza choices include two sweet ones, banana and ricotta cheese, and one served with chocolate spread. A basic Margarita pizza costs R 44, and the most expensive R 79. A board advertised four further special topping combinations at R 89 each. A daily salad costs R24 as a side serving, and the salad of the day was a butternut, spring onion and soy honey sauce one. Two “bulk” deals are offered: the Pizza Festival offers 6 persons or more an unlimited pizza and side salad for R 98 per person, while the full Italian Experience at R 140 per head for a minimum of 10 persons offers antipasti, unlimited pizza, side salad, dessert and lemoncello.
[Food Gal] Food Gal » Blog Archiv » A Taste of Beringer: We thought Noodle Niece would find Beringer especially interesting, because it is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley and is designated a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
