[Spittoon - wine news and tasting notes.] End of Month Egg on Toast Extravaganza - Limerick Edition. Walnut Bread IngredientsI have a confession to make - I forgot to toast the bread! I was so excited to sample a morsel, having spent most of the day either kneading the dough or waiting for it to rise, that this vital instruction for EoMEoTE just slipped my mind. I do have a couple of limericks that I offer in compensation though; for this months blog-happening is the Limerick Edition of End of Month Egg on Toast Extravaganza. [Cooksister.typepad.com] Cook sister!: EoMEoTE#7 - the limerick edition: it to me if you don't have a blog) and sometime around the first weekend in June I will do a wrap-up of all the entries. No pressure, no competition. Just loads of really really bad egg puns and some eggcelent limericks (see what I mean??)
[Cooksister.typepad.com] Cook sister!: Let's get ova-enthusiastic - it's EoMEoTE#6!: However, for those of you who find this a little toooooo cryptically Zen-like, the full story is as follows: the End of Month Egg on Toast Extravaganza has rolled around again! This most inclusive, least threatening, most post-modern, least culture/language/cooking ability-biased all food blog events grew out of an in-joke between Anthony of Spiceblog and myself, and in the first month we were the only participants. [Cooksister.typepad.com] Cook sister!: Foodblog events and forthcoming attractions: And last but not least (better late than never), here are the foodblog events to watch out for in the near future. Today, there's Sugar High Friday - this month's host Derrick over at An Obsession with Food has selected Black & Sticky molasses as the theme. Then on Sunday 24th, there's the venerable Grande Dame of food blog events, Is My Blog Burning? Foodgoat has chosen the quirky yet inspiring theme of orange - the colour, not the fruit! Coming up vaguely around the time of next weekend will be... you guessed it - the End of Month Egg on Toast Extravaganza! The hosting will be done by yours truly, the Cooksister, plus co-founder Anthony of Spiceblog has promised to create a Flickr site for EoMEoTE! And then on 11 May, Sam of Becks and Posh has decided to throw geography to the wind and nominate ros
[P45blogs.net] The Blog Snorkeller: April 2005 Archives - P45blogs.net: It's bloody great that Heston Blumenthal's restaurant, the Fat Duck, has taken the top spot in The World's 50 Best Restaurant's 2005 awards on Monday night, run by Restaurant Magazine. His dishes might seem very bizarre - "sardine on toast sorbet", or "smoked bacon and egg ice cream", or "leather, oak and tobacco chocolates", but there's a very clever mind at work.
[Mwshaw.blogspot.com] The Tumultuous Mind of MW Shaw: December 2004: An overpowering pressure often afflicts me when I walk in public, as if the collective apathy/ignorance/idiocy of modern Americans is trying to assault my mind. I don't mind if people are ignorant and/or stupid, but I wish they would have some dignity and appear to care about something worthwhile. Perhaps they could gain something from pretending to care, but that doesn't matter.
