Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Vinography.com] Vinography: a wine blog: 2001 York Creek Vineyards Cabernet Franc: Most of my friends fall primarily into one of two camps. The beer drinkers who have an occasional glass of wine, and the wine drinkers who have an occasional glass of beer. Its rare to find someone who loves beer as much as they love wine, and even more rare to find someone who professes to be a connoisseur of both. Yet that is exactly what you will find in Fritz Maytag, owner and proprietor of both the Anchor Steam brewing company, and just across the street in the Portrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, York Creek Vineyards.
[Vinography.com] Vinography: a wine blog: 1999 Wirilda Creek Vine Pruners Blend ...: A lovely dark ruby in the glass, this wine has large, expansive nose of blackberry, blueberry and vanilla with light floral notes. In the mouth it is soft and round with blueberry, cherry, smoke, and soft suede leather flavors that are well integrated to a satisfying finish. Extremely drinkable, this wine is a great example of how Cabernet, Merlot, and Shiraz should be blended: so that the Merlot adds round fruit, but does not dominate the more sophisticated structure of the oak aged Cabernet, and so the Syrah brings a bit of earth to the equation but does not turn the mix too spicy.
[Bojack.org] Jack Bog's Blog: As longtime readers of this blog may recall, some time back we had a new electrical service installed in our home. Despite this, our lights kept blinking, not only when our own air conditioning came on, but also when our next door neighbors' a.c. came on.
[Carolyntillie_ultimate_california_wine_blog.typepad.com] Carolyn Tillie's Ultimate California Wine Blog: Dry Creek Vineyard ...: 2000 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - Well-integrated green bell pepper and dried twig/floral qualities. A hint of brett on the back of the nose but all balanced. Soft entry does not disappoint as all flavors are even and complementary.
[Purplesunshine.com] PurpleSunshine.com :: blog: For what it's worth, I also built a meal around it. I cooked some thick pork chops on a skillet, and then made a sauce with a poblano pepper, fresh sage from the backyard, shallots, mushrooms and some of the Tablas Creek rosé. (We had a bunch of produce that I needed to use up.) I'd roasted some asparagus, too, and also served a salsa cruda made of mango, avocado, grape tomatoes and Vidalia onions as sort of a fruit/vegetable side.
