[Matthew Jukes] Daily Mail Weekend, 21 May 2011 - 5 Wines for Tapas | Matthew Jukes: 2009 La Umbra, Merlot, Dealurile Munteniei, Romania (£5.99, Waitrose).  Scoop - this is the first Romanian wine to ever make this page and it is a joy.  It’s also a spot on plummy merlot and they are rare these days, too.  No oak, just fruit is the recipe here and the price is a surprise as well.  Umbra means the shade, so this is the perfect al fresco red.
