[The Pour] The Dumb Period - The Pour Blog - NYTimes.com: i am guessing that anyone taking the time to go behind the ny times wine articles themselves to a blog like this (myself included of course) is more or less a wine fanatic…and as such, when you have the bug, you don’t really have to be a Potter to be able to find out whether wines go thru a dumb period….we all probably spend more money on wines than we’d like to admit! but all it means if one isn’t a Potter is that you may have to hold off buying something else for awhile if you decide to go for a case of a particular wine you think is both good and something that will go a distance of 10-20 years without falling apart (or rather, believe it to be a wine that hopefully gains the secondary characteristics aged wine lovers look for).
