Theme announced for WBW #9
[Winecast] Sam over at the Becks & Posh blog has chosen the theme for Wine Blogging Wednesday #9 and its rose (or pink) wines. Should be fun to track down some of the great French rose of Anjou and Sancerre and taste them against some of California’s best white Pinot’s (a.k.a Vin Gris). Dont worry, no “white” Zinfandel this time
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[GeeBaby] Taking it Easy...: Rains in Pune generally means terrible roads and lots of trees falling down - which happened. I'm dreading the total degradation of the roads in the area I stay in - last year when we shifted here in June, we were horrified at the complete non-existence of roads in the area...freaking hell, even the incredibly posh Koregaon has terrible roads...(the abysmal lack of drains just turns the whole locality into one mucky stretch of potholes) - heheh, waiting to hear what Kunu baba has to say about this, specially since he's promised to visit soon! Remember last year baccha, when we walked down from Arthur's Theme to the Barista in Lane 1 and later bargained with rickshaw-wallas to take us back home? :-)
[Ground Zero] Long Live http://karenlim.blogspot.com: The only things that were nice were the games, and also the stage decorations. I hate it how everytime our class (most of the F5 Interactors are from the same class : 5A) has to perform, they would always choose the same old thing. Singing. What more, choosing people who can't really sing well, but rather think they can.
[~+___Butterfly + Dreams___+~] Argh, the stupid internet connection is down...aga...: our bags, wash up, sleep and watch TV. Nothing much on TV. Like what Loretta said in her blog, we... peace and quiet thank you very much! Roamed around the indoor theme park and Times Square, which.... Lolx! Got out of the cafe after checking and proceeded to buy tickets for the indoor theme park
[Out of My Mind] HAVE I SLEPT? HAVE I NOT? Yes, T.I.N.G. - Towards...: Apparently, being a very generous Manchester United fan, and seeing how affected I already was, he insisted on sending us right to the gate of Clarke Quay, though with midnight charge, the meter hit 5 bucks when he U-turned from where we were, so we were almost at the same spot when it hit $5.
[Carolyn Tillie's Ultimate California Wine Blog] WBW #9 - Rosé: IMG Saintsbury_vdg This is my second Wine Blog Wednesday which was instigated by Len Thompson at Lenndevours. This installment is being hosted by the very essence of pinkness, Becks and Posh. (I..., mediocre pink wines. It was with some trepidation that I approached the Rosé theme but back
[Learning Everything eXcept Making A Real Kentuckian] ANNIYAN - First Feel This aftie, my friend remind...: "Oh Shukumaari..." For once, Shankar Mahadevan (SM) has impressed me without having shouted, and the agraharamic accent in the prelude of the song is superb. HJ seems to have taken a conscious effort in keeping SM from shouting and not spoiling his good score, or attenuated it in his re-recording. And, VM has flashed his brilliance in "En Kaadhal sikki mukki thikki vikkudhu, kumaaari, en nenju vimmi pammi nikkudhu, kumaari, en vaarthai kadal vatthivittadhe"!!! "andha kadavulai vidavum periyavan oruvan boomiyil ullaan evan?
[Becksposhnosh.blogspot.com] Becks & Posh: Think Pink ! Wine Blogging Wednesday #9 is announced.: If you can, give us some background details, history, winemakers, place of purchase, cost. Just so you know, some bloggers like to suggest food pairings too, but this is not, by any means, a must. You don't have to be an expert wine taster to join in either. WBW warmly welcomes particpants with any level of experience, from beginners (like me) to expert wine bloggers with wine-dedicated blogs.
[Becksposhnosh.blogspot.com] Becks & Posh: Indian Essence: 'Becks and Posh' is modern cockney for 'nosh'. Follow English-Girl-Abroad, Sam Breach, on her culinary journies, mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area, but also on her travels further afield, whilst she plays at being amateur restaurant critic, wine taster, food photographer, cocktail connoisseur, party planner, good food forager and practising home cook, with trusted French advisor, Fred, by her side.
[Becksposhnosh.blogspot.com] Becks & Posh: misses out one of the area's darlings, The Blue Plate (although it does get a brief nod in the Eating at the Bar section instead). Mi Lindo Peru and Emmy's don't get a mention either, despite being two good reasons to visit the Bernal area. The Good Life Grocery, a good 5 or more minute drive away in Potrero Hill inexplicably does make it to the list, however. The Chowhound editors need a lesson in geography.
[Shoppingblog.com] Shopping Blog at ShoppingBlog.com -- Posh Kids: Easter is approaching and (in a shopping context) that means two things: a fabulous new Easter ensemble and Godiva Easter Bunnies--and not just for the kids! This year, Godiva has the cutest little chocolate bunnies you've ever seen--they come in pink, violet or pale green foil. The pink is white chocolate, the violet is milk chocolate and the green is dark cholcolate.
[Accidentalhedonist.com] Accidental Hedonist - 2004 Food Blog Award Nominees!! (Food ...: Louisa Chu's Moveable Feast is the most exciting blog on food. It is a no-punches pulled view from the trenches of the haute cuisine world. Rather than list endless expensive meals, she goes behind the scenes and explains how the meals are made. After reading her posts I want to remove my shoes and scrape the kitchen refuse into the rubbish bin as I check my hands for nicks and burns.
