[Gabe's View] Bella Vineyards - Two 2006 Zinfandels « Gabe's View: The Two Patch Zinfandel from Bella Vineyards shows at it's best right now after a solid hour in the decanter. Once it does open up the nose is filled with plum, fig and a potpourri of spice notes.

[Snooth Blog] Join the ABcC Club!: This has a nice dominated by spicy French oak with dried apple fruit and a bit of lemon oil. In the mouth this is very bright up front with big citrus tones that yield to a rich, viscous, powerfully built mid-palate full of pineapple, peach and apricot tones with plenty of acid backing it up yet it still becomes cloying and sticky on the backend.

[oe•no•phile] oe•no•phile: Wines of Mendoza - Twitter Taste ... not so Live?: Very fruit forward, lush, ripe dark fruit, cedar, dark chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry jam. The oak definitely shows on the nose, but isn't overwhelming on the palate.

[4488: A Ridge Blog] RIDGE In The Round: The RIDGE Round Table Reviews The 2004 ...: That said (and this was noted during our tasting) we’re also somewhat judging against the last Oltranti release (which was actually the ‘05), which comparatively was probably a slightly more fleshy, plump, mouth-filling offering. The ‘04 is certainly leaner, and accordingly, probably far more of a food wine than a sipper, which was definitely the case with the ‘05.
