[The Cork Chronicles] The Cork Chronicles » Blog Archive » An Afternoon in Sonoma: Winery.  The view from Everett Ridge’s patio of rows upon rows of grape vines with the mountaintops and blue skies as a backdrop is phenomenal.  I spent a few hours at Everett Ridge sipping wine and chatting with the very friendly Tasting Room Assistant, Bob, and Owners, Chris and Steve.  While Bob kept pouring wine into my glass, Chris regaled me with tales about his family and how the winery started when he and his three brothers left their corporate careers and sold their father’s farmland to purchase their vineyards.  Their first purchase was Everett Ridge Vineyards which dates back to 1878.  This Dry Creek Valley (AVA) winery produces some quality, moderately priced wine.  Their portfolio is diverse including Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, red wine blends, and Port.  I tasted all of the above, and my favorites were the Chardonnay 2008 and Estate Petite Sirah 2007.  I look forward to returning to Everett Ridge to attend one of their fabulous wine club parties.
