[Sourfizz] Wine of the Week: Sauvignon Blanc | Sourfizz: It seems we should still be drinking our 2005s, 06s, and 07,s, but Ive just opened a bottle of the 2008 Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc Reserva, a gorgeously fresh and lively wine from Chiles Casablanca Valley.
[CheapWineRatings.com] Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Review: The palate has perfect acidity. The flavors are primarily melon, mango and peach, followed by a mid-palate mineral and peach that lingers into a long finish. Some past vintages have been dinged for having a short finish, but I didn’t find that to be the case with this one.
[Gabe's View] Bella Vineyards - 2006 Big River Ranch Zinfandel « Gabes View: 14 acres of the Zinfandel vines are 110 years old. 11% Petite Sirah and 4% Syrah were blended in. This wine was aged for 18 months in oak, 20% of it new, with a large percentage of it from Virginia.

[Jacqueline Lombard Wine Reviews] Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2006 | Jacqueline Lombard ...: Cabernet is arguably Chiles top grape, and Veramontes vineyards thrive in a warm region with exceptional ripening potential for Cabernet Sauvignon every year. Extended maceration and aging in French Oak develops the richness and intensity while softening tannins for accessible wines upon release.
[Slashfood] Wine of the Week: Sauvignon Blanc - Slashfood: Ordinarily I think of Sauvignon Blanc as a summer wine because its bone-dry acidity and grapefruit flavors zing through your palate and refresh a thirsty mouth like no other wine can. But dry, unoaked varietal Sauv Blancs are mostly meant to be drunk young in order to stay fresh--so the younger, the better, and when the southern hemisphere 2008s roll out in the fall, it's best to catch them while you can.
[CheapWineRatings.com] Wine Blogging Wednesday 52 Announced - Value Reds from Chile: And our theme for December 2008 is Value Reds from Chile! The rules are any red wine from Chile for $20 or less. If you can find a really good one for closer to $10, better yet.

[My Wine Education] My Wine Education: Wine-Girl.net's Virtual Thanksgiving Dinner ...: It's dry and flavorful, with a variety of melon, mango, peach, pear and citrus flavors. The ones I like best have a little bit of a mineral characteristic to them as well.
