WBW - Bad habits

[Going Places] This week, TKW has asked us to showcase our bad habits. As I looked through my old photos this morning, I found that I managed to avoid being photographed in the middle of most of my bad habits.

Biodynamic Wine Blogging Wednesday no. 29

http://bubblebrothers.blogspot.com [Bubble Brothers - Cork wine merchants] All you have to do is buy a bottle of biodynamic wine, drink it, and put your tasting notes up on your blog or website on Wednesday the 17th of January. (And let Jack and Joanne know, of course.) The Fork and Bottle page I've linked to has heaps of useful information and links &c., and I simply haven't time to give you my dilettanteish overview of biodynamics anyway.

A Trip to the Wine Shop

[Wannabe Wino] I spent a good part of the afternoon nosing around the Curious Grape today. Although it's winter and the more likely choice for wine is a nice heart-warming red, we still like to drink the occassional white, especially on nights where I serve light seafood dishes.

Pink Ice Wine & Chocolate

Becks & Poshhttp://becksposhnosh.blogspot.com [Becks & Posh] Almost six years ago I was stuck in Vancouver, Canada, for three weeks waiting for the visa that would allow me to come and work in the United States. I was staying, by myself, in a hotel at the bottom of Granville Street and because I had no cooking facilities, I was forced to eat out solo in cafes and sushi bars most of the time.

Wine Blogging Wednesday #26

[A Brooklynguy's Wine and Food Blog] Overall, I would not recommend this wine to drink now, but I would definitely enjoy tasting it again several years down the road. Deetrane and Mike felt the same way, so I will have my other bottle thrown in the dungeon for at least 5 years.

Wine Blogging Wednesday #27 Announced: Ice Ice Baby

http://lennthompson.typepad.com/lenndevours [LENNDEVOURS] The theme is Icy Desserts -- ice wines that is. Luckily, she's not being a stickler, so you don't need to find a 100% authentic, frozen-on-the-vine version...any wine made with frozen grapes will do.

http://lennthompson.typepad.com/lenndevours [LENNDEVOURS] I've not met Sam yet (we missed one another when I was in San Francisco in June) but anyone who reads her always fun and entertaining blog knows, the girl loves her Champagne. That's Champagne with a capital C, not sparkling wine.

Wine News This Week

http://winexpression.com [Winexpression] The ban of liquids on planes in the U.S. is already hurting sales from some wineries. Normally, visitors to California’s wine regions buy a few souvenir bottles, and carry them on the plane when they head home, which is especially important if they live in a state that still doesn’t allow direct shipping.
