Wine Relief Raises £2 million.

[Spittoon - wine news and tasting notes.] Jancis Robinson reports that Wine Relief, part of the Comic Relief charity fundraising has gained 2 million quid.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Wineanorak.com] Jamie's blog: [For the uninitiated, a 'blog' (or weblog) is a web journal with links. This gives me a chance to add short, 'off the record' style items that wouldn't merit a separate article.

[Electricdeath.com] [EED] Blog 868 - budget wine tasting night: Sainsburys offer a range of Italian wines (which in fairness have enough Italian on the label to convince your average punter that they weren't brewed in Putney) starting with the cheeky 'Nabocia' (£3.70 a bottle and spelling uncertain) which has a wierd purple top on it that was presumably designed to scream out visually from amongst the racks of neighbouring bottles. The first glass was actually not half bad, which I put down to the wine being cold and me still stressed from a shitty day at work.

[Sparklefluff.com] Blatant Optimism: So the blogroll, flickr links etc etc will be arriving over the next few days as I get time...I haven't forgotten you all. And like the design, it probably all needed an upgrade anyway.
