Gourmets of Wine > Wine News - Week of January 25, 2010 - Uncorked Cincinnati
[Uncorked Cincinnati] Full transparency…this article isn’t about an actual new killer phone app, but it’s still a great read. Matt Kramer of Wine Spectator writes how wineries should be doing a better job telling the stories of their wines to potential customers, vs. relying on magazines, blogs and other sources to do so for them. He points out mobile as a huge opportunity. I agree..and add social media and fantastic web presence to that as well. Your thoughts?

[Dining@Large] Dining@Large: Tell us about your Restaurant Week experience ...: I'm fine with suggesting that a server tell you about any alterations to the menu before ordering wine, because, from what I understand, you need to match the wine and the food. But to suggest that being out of a menu item is breaking a contract both belittles what a contract is and over-dramatizes a common occurrence.

[MediaPost | Online Media News] MediaPost Publications Flash: The Death Of HTML 01/21/2010: While it may seem like a minor development, the major advantage of using HTML over Flash has traditionally been that the former was searchable, and the latter was not. Considering that Flash is nearly ubiquitous, and that Flash content has far greater potential to engage viewers than static HTML content, the fact that the SEO barrier has fallen for Flash might be very bad news indeed for HTML.
